Interested In Joining The Lab?

Potential Undergraduate Collaborators

I welcome email contact from motivated students interested in working in the lab.  Such collaborations usually begin with a semester in which the student gains experience with our study organisms, assists on various ongoing research projects, and works with me to write a proposal for an independent project to be completed in subsequent semesters. Students can receive course credit for this work and/or financial support from several ASU, local and national entities.  If this sounds like a good time, email me (jchadwick@asu.edu) a 1-page cover letter describing your experience, background and why you want to work with us.  Please also send a CV/resume including relevant coursework taken and the grade received.

Potential graduate collaborators

I am housed on ASU's West campus in Glendale--approximately a 30-45 minute free shuttle (WiFi enabled) ride from the (main) Tempe campus.  ASU West currently has no graduate programs in the life sciences, and therefore any potential MS and Ph.D. collaborators have to enroll in a graduate program housed on the Tempe campus.  As such, graduate students wanting to work with me have to be willing to go between campuses to a certain extent as their coursework and teaching responsibilities would occur in Tempe, but their research collaboration with me would take place largely at ASU West.  If this sounds workable to you, email me (jchadwick@asu.edu) a 1-page cover letter describing your experience, background and why you want to work with us.  Please also send a CV/resume including relevant coursework taken and the grade received.
